
Rebecca A Rico, LCSW
Rebecca graduated from New Mexico State University in 2008, with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She went on to earn her Master’s of Social Work Degree at the University of Utah in 2017. During her time at the University of Utah, Rebecca had the privilege of working at the School of Medicine Wellness Program, and at the Utah State Prison. After graduation Rebecca worked in an outpatient setting, working with individuals, families, couples, and in a group therapy setting. Rebecca continued her career working as a therapist in a residential facility. She worked directly with adolescents, and families.

Throughout her career Rebecca has experience working with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, body dysmorphia, anger management, trauma and PTSD, substance abuse, and marriage and relationship problems to name a few. Rebecca utilizes techniques and concepts from several clinical modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Spirituality. Rebecca believes in individualizing care based on the client’s needs, and helping her clients discover healing through building self-confidence and focusing on interpersonal relationship building.

Rebecca is native to New Mexico. She and her family moved to Utah in 2010, and love the people they have met and the beautiful landscape Utah has to offer. In her free time Rebecca loves to spend quality time with her husband and two children, play softball and cornhole, and loves to paint when she finds the time. Her greatest passion is spending time with others, engaging in competitive games, and helping people find their best self.
